In line with its vision to becoming Christ-like Disciples engaging the world, Karura Community Chapel (Karura CC) kicked off Momentum Africa in 2016 with the aim of providing a platform for mobilizing young people to grow from being objects of change to agents of change.

Since its inception in 2016, Momentum has continued to engage youth within and outside Karura CC community to be agents of Change. Through Momentum, Karura CC has been calling on everyone to stand strong in the face of trails, bear witness to the reality of our Lord and Savior. By doing so, we inspire and challenge friends, families, towns and cities to stand strong for God’s truth and righteousness. Ultimately, the nation, continent and the world will also be emboldened to stand strong for God’s truth and righteousness.

To kick off the first year of momentum Africa, Karura CC hosted a revival concert in August. The event presented an opportunity for the church and the youth to engage the Christ through worship and prayer. The session featured Abel Chungu Musuka from Zambia.

Our 2021 theme, ‘Reset’, calls all of us to go back to basics, ask the real raw questions and choose to try again to make a change. Digital impurity has created a vicious circle around the globe, one that has sprung from misconceptions about Christ and further tainting our understanding of Him. We have defied the Lord we claim to worship. We have disgraced his holy name by our unholy lives. Yes, we believe he is the Savior. We are Christians, not pagans. But our beliefs are not strong enough to produce righteous lifestyles.
