EBENEZER

As we look back and honor what God has done in and through Karura Community Chapel over the last thirty years (7th January 1996 to date), we celebrate what he is doing in our midst today (we say EBENEZER -thus far God has brought us) even as we look forward in faith to what he shall do.

ENGAGE

Through this Focus we will seek to Enable effective and efficient ENGAGEMENT of congregants in the service of God according to their skills, gifting, and passion.

Ephesians 4:16 - From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Objectives:

1. Cultivate a culture of service (becoming Christ like)
2. Envision the church as a whole to see themselves as ministers and responsible for the running and programs of their church.
3. Make voluntarism a pillar in ministry culture.
4. Set up an HR style volunteer management and engagement team.
5. Integrate volunteerism in sharing the word.
6. Introduce churchwide family friendly voluntarism for all ages.
7. Immerse children and youth in Church projects from start to finish
