Evans Makatia - Director - Kiswahili Service & Outreach
Evans received Christ in the year 1998, after which he joined Nairobi Light House Church. He became a small group leader after going through the Spiritual Foundations classes for leadership. He has a diploma in Bible study from the International School of Ministry at Nairobi Light House Church. He is married to Rahab and together they are blessed with two children. He joined Karura Community Chapel in 2005 December as an intern, after serving in Life Transformation Chapel, a church plant of Karura in Gachie. After his internship, he joined the staff team in November 2006 and serves as the Pastor for Kiswahili service, Prayer and Evangelism.
 
   
Mulika Mutuku - Director - Youth Ministry
Mulika gave his life to the Lord in 1996, while in high school and went on to serve as the Christian Union Chair. After High School he joined the navigators and was involved in ministry to high schools where he developed a deep passion for young people. He has a Bachelors Degree in Theology and Counselling Psychology from the European Theological Seminary. He joined Karura Community Chapel as an intern for the Youth Ministry for the period between 2005 and 2006. He later joined the staff team as the Pastoral Assistant in the Youth Ministry.
 
   
Benjamin Mukaisi - Director - Accounts & Administration
Ben got saved in 1996 and thereafter began to serve in ministry in the Glory Church. He joined Karura Community Chapel a month after it was planted. He became the second staff member assisting Pastor Ngari and was immediately given responsibility to lead the New Believers class. He has risen through the ranks to become the Church Administrator/Finance Head and continues to serve in the same capacity to date. He also serves as the Chair of the Board in the Gacie Children?s Ministry, a partner ministry of Karura reaching out to children in primary schools. He is married to Evelyn and together they have three children.
 
   
Chistopher Wainaina - Director - Compassion & Social Justice
Christopher Wainaina Ngugi is an arts and social sciences graduate (literature & history major, sociology minor) from Egerton University. He started his career with Alico Insurance Company as a marketing executive, after which he worked with Egerton University chapel as a student counselor. He has interest in entrepreneurship as a tool for poverty eradication. He works mainly with the poor in areas of capacity building, financial literacy education and charity work.
 
   
   
Skippy Muhanji - Caretaker
Skippy gave his life to the Lord in 1989. He is a trained security officer and worked with Falcon Securities for a number of years prior to joining Karura Community Chapel. He joined Karura in 2002 and serves as a Security Officer.
 
   
Elisha Nyambori - Sound Technician
Elisha accepted the Lord in 1996 February when he was visiting Karura Chapel for the first time. It became his turning point and he's never left Karura since then. He joined ministry ushering ministry in 1997 and the PA (sound) ministry in 1998 and became the Deacon for PA ministry in the year 2000 until 2005 when he became an elder. He left the elders board to join staff in January 2007.
 
   

Hellen Kinyanjui
Hellen Wairimu Kinyanjui gave her life to the Lord on February 2000. She joined the Karura Staff in 2003 and continues to serve to date. Hellen is married and has two children.
