John Mbugua - Chairman
John, a Manager with Chancery Wright Insurance serves as the Church Secretary. He holds a BA in Economics,Advanced Diploma in Insurance, and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and also of the Kenya Institute of Management. He completed his MBA Project on "Cash & Carry, Legislation in Insurance" with Moi University. John is married to Mary and they are blessed with two sons. John received the Lord in 1996.

Fran Derocher
Fran is an elder at Karura Community Church. Fran become a believer in the early 80's while attending the Evangelical Free Church of America in Wisconsin. Lori as well just around the same time accepted the Lord while attending University in Michigan, USA. Fran is currently the director of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) for Africa. The Derocher's have been in Kenya since 2001 and have been part of Karura since their arrival. Fran and Lori have 3 children - Erica, Amber and Brent.
 
Ngari Kariithi - Senior Pastor
Ngari is a trained Engineer from the University of Nairobi. He came to the Lord in 1990 in what he describes as very miraculous circumstances. After having been at the forefront of arguing against Christianity, the Lord spoke to him very clearly and he gave his life to Christ. His first ministry involvement was with the Nairobi Chapel in 1995 as the Director, Adult Ministries. He was among the team that was sent to plant Karura and has served as the Senior Pastor since then. Ngari is a visionary who gives God all glory as he has watched Karura evolve from a tiny Church plant at the Gigiri Kindergarten to the big Church it is today. He is married to Rachel and they have three children.Read More
 
Paul Carline
Though born in England, Paul came to Christ in Canada where he later went to Bible college and met his wife, Kelly. Paul and Kelly pastored a church in Eastern Canada for 6 years before coming to Kenya in 1996 with Canadian Baptist Ministries to work in Somali outreach. The Carlines have lived in Djibouti and various parts of Kenya including North Eastern Province and Eastleigh, Nairobi. They now make their home in Gigiri, Nairobi and are involved in the Sunday school, preaching and football ministries at Karura.Read More

 
Anthony Icharia
Anthony Icharia is a Teller Service Manager at the Standard Chartered, Muthaiga Branch. He gave his life to the Lord on 13th December 1998 as a first year student at Kenyatta University. He served in the Christian Union leadership at the University where he grew steadily in his spiritual walk. He joined Karura Community Chapel in 2003 and since then has served as the leader of the Young Adults Fellowship (The Legates) and as the Deacon for the High School Ministries. Anthony is married to Lucy. He holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) Degree and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Section 6.

 
Ron Misiko - Associate Pastor
Ron was born and brought up in a solid Christian family and came to the Lord in 1981 at a young age. By high school, he was one of the Christian leaders in his school and his going into full time ministry was always a matter of 'when' rather than 'if'. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) and a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) both from the University of Mysore, South India, a Diploma from the Kenya School of Law (Dip KSL) and a Masters of Divinity (MDIV) from the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology. Ron joined Karura in 2005 and has a deep passion for people. He serves as the Associate Pastor at Karura. He is married to Carol and they are proud parents of a son.
