The Birth of a Community for Jesus
It all started at the final class for Registered Membership at Nairobi Chapel in March 1995. During that class, the teachers, David Gatende and Ngari Kariithi, shared the Church Planting vision of Nairobi Chapel, as they were sharing opportunities for ministry there. David was then the Chairman of the Elders at Nairobi Chapel, while Ngari was Director for Adult Fellowship.

Purpose
To be a worshipping community, helping one another to be obedient to God's Word and to be ambassadors of Jesus Christ in a needy world.
Vision
"Every life transformed by Christ'
?
Every Life: An impact that touches and changes every attendee, with a vision for a broadening impact "even to the ends of the earth:' (Acts 1:8)
Transformed: Going beyond mere belief/assent to the truths of Christ. Christ should be causing change in every aspect of a person's life-spiritual, physical, social and mental (Luke 2:52).
By Christ: Acknowledging that He is the true agent of transformation, we shall labour with all our strength in dependence on Him through Whom alone true fruit may be found (John 15:5-17).
When linked with the Purpose, our Vision works out as follows:
-Every Life Transformed to True Worship - complete commitment to Christ (Romans 12:1-2)
-Every Life Transformed to Obey Christ - who should be at the centre of all purpose and decisions (Philippians 2:13)
-Every Life Transformed to be Channels of Christ's Reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
- To God
- To others
- To creation
- To self

Every Member a Minister, Every Member Necessary (Ephesians 4:11-16).
?We believe that God has brought each and every attendee to the Church for a purpose and for his or her own growth as well as the growth of the Church as a whole. Each one is gifted by God (Eph. 4:7; 1 Cor. 12:7) for the common good (1 Cor. 12:7; 1 Peter 4:10). Spirit-filled for sacrificial service, totally engaged (all of life-social, personal, business, family, etc. reflecting these values)
